Based upon the refined analysis of human consciousness, the universal teachings of Buddhist Psychology offers one of the oldest and most well-developed systems of healing and understanding. Providing a positive, spiritual and visionary approach to mental health.

The basic aim of Buddhist Psychology is to help us become compassionately aware of and welcoming to our mental, emotional and behavioral patterns in order to skillfully work with them so that we may live more fully from our inherent goodness, compassion and wisdom.

In this experiential workshop we will explore the central concepts of Buddhist Psychology’s approach to our human life and how they can be applied to clinical work. We will explore through discussion, guided meditations, and experiential exercises. The exercises and meditations are designed to foster our own inner awareness and to nourish our being, while exploring the concepts presented.

Please note: this workshop is only for clinicians so as to provide a container for learning and exploring in an open and supportive way, to nurture our own growth, and to nourish ourselves.

PARTICIPANTS COMMENTS

The class advanced my understanding of the utility of the concepts contained in Buddhist Psychology within a therapy setting. With the growth of mindfulness-based therapies, a more in-depth understanding is critical. The instructor is witty, positive, creative, knowledgeable and kind.

This workshop offers 6 CEU’s for Social Workers and Psychologist.

The Board of Examiners has not approved this workshop for CEUs for LPCs, MACs, or LMFT’s, until I have been an approved provider through NBCC. However, typically social workers and psychologists can receive CEUs.

Per the Social Work Board they do not have the capacity to pre-approve all continuing education workshops. It is the licensee's responsibility, using his/her professional judgment, to determine the workshops that are applicable and appropriate to his/her professional development as a social worker.
